Biman Bangladesh Airlines

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is the first national flag carrier airline and largest public Limited company of the peoples Republic of Bangladesh.  It is established on 4th January in 1972 under the Bangladesh Biman.

 The Biman Bangladesh airlines headquarters name is Balaka Bhaban, it is located in Kurmitola, Dhaka.

                           

           There are three international airport in Bangladesh :

•      Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
•      Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong.
•      Osmani International Airport in Sylhet.

Many International flights operates from the main hub at  Shahjalal International Airport and also flights operates another hubs at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong and OsmaniInternational Airportin Sylhet.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines provides many international passenger and cargo services. Bangladesh Biman has air service agreements near about 42 countries but flies operates only 16 countries within whole world.

International cargo service is operated name of cargo village at Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka where package goods and labels Before loading aircraft for going specific destination.
In 1972 Biman Bangladesh Airlines starts domestic services Dhaka               with Sylhet, Jessore and Chittagong by usingDouglas DC-3 aircraft and In this year on 4th march Bangladesh Airlines starts international weekly flight service to London by using aircraft Boeing-707 .
By using Fokker-F27 airbus Biman Bangladesh Airlines operates daily flight schedule Dhaka to Calcutta in India on 28th march in 1972.
Fruitful achievement of Bangladesh Biman In the first year ,Biman airlines operates 1079 flights and carrying out near about 380000 passengers.
In 1974 Biman Bangladesh Airlines also buy  Four Fokker F27s and flight service extend to Khathmandu, Bangkok and Dubai.
In 1976 Bangladesh Biman sells two Fokker F27 and also buy Boeing 707 to extend international flight network Singapore, Karachi ,Mumbai and Abu Dhabi.
When Biman Bangladesh Airlines purchases 3rd and 4th aircraft Boeing 707 in 1977 ,Biman extend international destination to Doha, Amsterdam ,Jeddah and at the first time Bangladesh Biman come back to brack even point and make profit in this year. Biman  also include flight service to Kuala Lumpur, Muscat, New York, Yangon, Dhaharan and Tripoli in 1980.

In 1983, also expand fleet Bangladesh Biman by  three Douglas DC-10s and Biman increase their flight service to Paris, Bahrain, Baghdad .Bangladesh Airlines purchase also new two airbus A310s to expand their fleet in 1996.
 Biman Bangladesh Airlines operates new flight international flight destination John F.Kennedy International Airport , New York and Manchester Airport, UK From 1993 to 2006.

As Bangladesh is the Muslim country so thousand of Muslim people are gone to mecca for completing the Hajj that’s why Biman Bangladesh Airlines provides special Hajj flight every year.

As safe fly Bangladesh Biman is certified by the European aviation safety Agency and biman is passed the IATA operational safety Audit.

After being privatization , the Biman Bangladesh has reduce Officer and staff also mordinazation the fleet and buy ten new aircraft.

The first time in the biman Bangladesh Airlines history British citizen Kevin Steele is appointed as a Managing Director and CEO by the Biman Authority In 2013 and he promise that Biman Bangladesh Airlines will be profitable arilines.

Pohela Boishakh-1420 | Bangla New Year-2013

Pohela Boishakh means first of Boishakh , Boishakh is first sessions   of Bangla calendar. It is also called Nobo Borsho. Nobo means new and Borsho means year; it is referred to Bengali New Year.

Pohela Boishakh is most one of the first festivals for the Bengalis, celebrate this occasions irrespective cast and creed together .It  is a original Bengali occasion where all Bengali communities forget their religious and regional differences and unify themselves under one word- “Bengali”

In Bangladesh ,every year this Occasions is celebrated 14th April according to the official Bangla calendar designed by the Bangla Academy and in India state of Assam, Jharkhand, Tripura, Odisha ,West Bengal and other Bangali communities in the world  are celebrated the Pohela Boishakh in mid-April according to South Asian calendar.

Bangla Nobo Borsho festivals are very closely joined with custom and rural life in Bengal nation. Usually Pohela Boishakh celebration starts early in the day.

People wake up and take shower early in the morning. They wear traditional dress such as young women mainly wear red border and diversify design white shari , flowers in hair ,tips and wear various  colorful churi (made by glass) and men wear traditional design and colorful  Panjabi with payjama(trouser) or kurta (tunic).

Every year CharuKala Institute of Dhaka University , one of the biggest attractions of Pohela Boishakh” Boishakhi Mongol Shobha Jatra” rallies holding various festoons and creations that signify the Bengali culture and all society people join these events.

A Large numbers of town people gather to Ramna Park early in the morning. Where Chhayanat Singers and Dancers perform in Ramna Botomul. Chhayanat singers start cultural program by famous Rabindranath song “Esho, he Boishakh, Esho Esho  ...“beginning the day.

In this Occasion Many people likes begin the day with the traditional Pohela Boishakh breakfast with fermented rice (rice soaked in water), fried hilsa fish, green chillies, onion, and dried fish (shutki).

Pohela Boishkhi fairs are held the whole country for at least a week.  Essential home accessories, toys (made by soil), various agricultural products, traditional handicrafts products, women accessories, as well as various kinds of delicious food and sweets are sold at these fairs.

Traditional jatra, gazir gan kobigan, gambhira gan, jarigan, bhatiali songs, pala gan and folk songs are staged in these fairs.

Rural area living people passing enjoyable moment by rural sports such as kite flying, bull racing, boat race, rope fighting, breaking the soil dish etc.

Bengalis biggest cultural festival  has alive about the last few centuries years  where all Bengalis together  keep his culture ignore  all painful history to make  colorful, bright and joyous Pohela Boishakh.
