Stock Exchange in Bangladesh

 Stock Exchange is the very essential part to increase financial development of every country. Stock Exchange  is a specific place where buyer and seller can buy their share or stock together and Security exchange commission  is established by the government to defines working process of the capital market, rules and policies under which will be operated the stock exchange market.

There are two stock exchange in Bangladesh .such as
Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE)
Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)

Dhaka Stock Exchange :

Dhaka Stock Exchange is the first stock exchange in Bangladesh . it is located the central point and industrial area at Motijheel in Dhaka . it is established in 1954 as East Pakistan Stock Exchange Association Ltd .

In 1962 Pakistan government rename as East Pakistan Stock Exchange Ltd and again rename as Dacca Stock Exchange Ltd in 1964. Dacca Stock Exchange is completely stopped  trading for five years after liberation war of Bangladesh.
In 1976 Bangladesh government restart Dacca stock Exchange for trading capital market.
In 1986 Bangladesh government rename the stock exchange as Dhaka Stock exchange    and start new calculating and share price index system according to IFC in 1993. At first Dhaka stock exchange include above 760 listed companies and cross near about 8510 points.  
In 2012 stock Exchange is completely crashed for corruption high official authority of Bangladesh government . As a result more than 1000000 lac investors lost their money.

Chittagong Stock Exchange :

Chittagong Stock Exchange is the second Stock Exchange in Bangladesh. It is established in January 1995 by the Bangladesh government . in 12th February 1995 Chittagong Stock Exchange has given permission by the Security exchange commission   in Bangladesh. CSE is finaly start trading 10th October in 1995 and 4th November in 1995 Chittagong Stock Exchange is Formally inauguration by former Prime minister  Begum Khaleda Zia. It is located diplomatic zone at Agrabad in Chittagong.

In 1995 Chittagong Stock Exchange  works  effective and efficient transparent capital market in order to raise capital , accelerate industrial growth , easy and accurate transactions ,Provide an large  investment opportunity ,develop and capital market analysis .It is opened  online Trading  system in 2004.
 In2011- 2012 Chittagong Stock Exchange is also completely crashed like DSE  for corruption high official authority of Bangladesh Stock Exchange .

So we hope that as soon as possible Bangladesh government should take more step to profitable the Stock Exchange In Bangladesh .

Bangladesh Bank

Bangladesh bank is the central bank of Bangladesh and  It is  established 16th  December 1971. It is located diplomatic and  industrial area at Motijheel in Dhaka. At Present time Governor of Bangladesh Bank is Atiur Rahman from May 1, 2009 .
After liberation war,  Bangladesh government reconstruction  the former  state bank of Pakistan  and it is launched  as Bangladesh bank in 1972 and this bank is achieved  membership of .Asian Clearing Union..
In 1972  Bangladesh government had taken decision that  all bank will be nationalize for developing war torn country basically agriculture  and industrial sector .

                                          
That time Bangladesh Bank provided  public  loans without commercial consideration but Bangladesh bank had poor capital reserve , poor  customer service , did not have proper market analysis police and   Loan recovery system of Bangladesh bank was so expensive and so poor.as a result the banking sectors could not be increased .
In 1986 Bangladesh government  To solve this problem at first  denationalized  two commercial bank  within six bank and permission to found private bank to make competition in the banking sector, consist a National Commission on money ,completely stop new loans and  develop the financial institutions. But no improvement and effect to the banking sector.
In 1990 Bangladesh government also form Financial Sector Adjustment Credit and Financial Sector Reform Programme due to world bank agreement to solve remove government distortions and lessen the financial repression.
According to McKinnon-Shaw hypothesis policies , Bangladesh Bank provide loans on commercial basis ,implement the systematically classify loans, implement modern accounting systems and computerized systems , , revise financial laws , increase supervision and analysis  in the credit market and also developed the capital market to remove distortions the financial repression.
In 1996  Bangladesh government form in order to develop the banking sector Bank Reform Committee (BRC) and stop all activity of Financial Sector Reform Programme.
In 2011Mobile Banking service is inaugurated by Bangladesh Bank Governor Atiur Rahaman  and start New revolution of Bangladesh Banking sector  on 31th March.

At first Dutch Bangla Bank Ltd starts Mobile Banking service to the customer and two mobile operator company named Banglalink and Citycell to provide service smoothly. Gradually ten leading bank are started mobile banking  service.
So Bangladesh Bank also provide the bank note issue, price stability, foreign  exchange and regulating the banking sector, Credit control, Control Money Market, SME development, Natural resources development, Job creation, Agricultural development, Industrial development, and lot of activities of Bangladesh Bank.
